Rohit Sharma is all set to make his Test comeback as the India opener will be slotting into the playing XI for the 3rd Test against Australia in Sydney, starting January 7. Rohit will return to the Test side after more than a year’s gap as he last donned India whites during the Day-night Test against Bangladesh in November 2019.
After proving his fitness and form, Rohit Sharma will replace Mayank Agarwal as the second opener with Shubman Gill for the third Test in Sydney.
The Hitman couldn’t be available for the 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is as well as the first two Tests. It was only after Rohit had proved his fitness during his time at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) that he was allowed to fly to Australia.
