Recently, outgoing SpiceJet president Ajay Singh was re-elected in the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) elections on Wednesday, defeating Ashish Shelar by a margin of 37-27 votes.
On his second term, Ajay Singh said that at the grassroots level, sports science, women boxing and sports would be focused on involving young administrators. He will focus on the boxers associated with the Tokyo Olympics, grassroots development and training in women’s boxing.
The case reached Delhi High Court after a petition was filed by the Uttar Pradesh State Boxing Association last month. After this, the BFI fixed February 3 for elections and its sixth annual general meeting.

(पिछले महीने उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य मुक्केबाजी संघ द्वारा याचिका दायर किये जाने के बाद यह मामला दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय पहुंचा। इसके बाद बीएफआई ने चुनावों और अपनी छठी सालाना आम बैठक के लिये तीन फरवरी की तारीख तय की थी।)
