PM Modi Will Inaugurate the World Sustainable Development Summit -2021
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the World Sustainable Development Summit 2021 on 10 February 2021 at 6:30 pm through video conferencing. The theme of the summit is “Redefining Our Common Future: A Safe and Protected Environment for All”.
The conference included Guyana President Mohammad Irfan Ali, Honorable James Marpe, Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea Mohammad Nasheed, President of the People’s Majlis of the Republic of Maldives Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General, United Nations, and Prakash Javadekar, Central Environment, Forests, and Climate change minister will be present.
- World Sustainable Development Summit 2021 governments of many countries, business leaders, academics, scientists, youth and social organizations will stand together in the fight against climate change.
- India’s Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Ministry of Earth Sciences will be the major participants in this summit.
- Major topics to be discussed during thisWorld Sustainable Development Summit 2021 will include energy and industry change, adaptation and resilience, nature-based solutions, climate finance, cyclical economy, clean ocean and air pollution.

- विश्व सतत विकास शिखर सम्मेलन 2021 में कई देशों की सरकारें, बिजनेस लीडर्स, शिक्षाविद, वैज्ञानिक, युवा और सामाजिक संगठन जलवायु परिवर्तन के खिलाफ लड़ाई में एक साथ खड़े होंगे |
- भारत के पर्यावरण, वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय, नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय तथा पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय इस शिखर सम्मेलन के प्रमुख भागीदार होंगे |
- विश्व सतत विकास शिखर सम्मेलन 2021 के दौरान चर्चा किये जाने वाले प्रमुख विषयों में ऊर्जा एवं उद्योग परिवर्तन, अनुकूलन तथा लचीलापन, प्रकृति आधारित समाधान, जलवायु वित्त, चक्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था, स्वच्छ महासागर और वायु प्रदूषण शामिल होंगे |
