US-Russia Agreed to limit Nuclear Weapons
The US has recently extended the duration of the nuclear armament agreement with Russia to limit the stock of nuclear weapons by five years, to which the US said that the move will be taken to address the security challenges of the 21st century. Is the beginning of efforts.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said a day before the agreement expired that the US was expanding it. Blinken said in a statement that today, the US took the first step towards improving that resolution and the Russian Federation’s The agreement reached has been extended for five years.
The New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty is a treaty between the United States and Russia to reduce and limit strategic weapons that came into force on 05 February 2011.
This new start treaty is a follow-up to the 1991 start-up treaty at the end of the Cold War, the 1991 treaty limits the number of strategic nuclear delivery vehicles to 1,600 and the number of warheads to 6,000 for both sides.
