Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu Inaugurates ‘Adi Mahotsav’
Recently, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has inaugurated the National Tribal Festival “Adi Mahotsav” at Delhi Haat, INA, Delhi. “Adi Mahotsav 2021” will be held from February 1 to 15, 2021.
The theme of the Adi Festival 2021 is: “Celebration of the Spirit of Tribal Culture, Cuisine and Commerce”. Adi Mahotsav 2021 aims to showcase the rich and diverse crafts, the culture of tribal communities across the country on one platform.
The festival will showcase and sell tribal arts and crafts, medicine and healing, food and folk performances, which will be attended by around 1000 tribal artisans, artists and chefs from more than 20 states of the country and a glimpse of their diverse traditional culture. do.
Vice President Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu advocated the implementation of a development model that would also preserve the special cultural identity of tribal communities. “They said that their culture is their identity. Even while connecting tribals to the mainstream of the country, their cultural identity should be protected.”
The Adi Mahotsav, a celebration of tribal culture, crafts, food and trade – TRIFED is an annual initiative organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs from 2017.
