| Asha Bhosle to be honored with ‘Maharashtra Bhushan’ award |
Recently famous singer Asha Bhosle will be honored with the prestigious Maharashtra Bhushan Award for the year 2020.
The award was decided by a committee under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to select Ms. Bhosle for the award of the year 2020. Earlier, Ms. Bhosle, whose sister Lata Mangeshkar won the award in 1997, said she learned from Mr. Thackeray that she had been selected for the 2020 award. Ms. Bhosale received the 2000 Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
About Maharashtra Bhushan Award:
- The award was instituted by the state government in 1996 to recognize distinguished work and achievements in various fields by the eminent persons of the state, including a cash award of Rs 10 lakh and a citation.
- First Maharashtra Bhushan Award Marathi writer P.L. Deshpande was awarded and the final winner of this award was historian Babasaheb Purandare, who was given the award in the year 2015.
हाल ही में प्रसिद्ध गायिका आशा भोसले (Asha Bhosle) को वर्ष 2020 के लिए प्रतिष्ठित महाराष्ट्र भूषण (Maharashtra Bhushan) पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।
यह पुरस्कार मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे की अध्यक्षता में एक समिति ने वर्ष 2020 के पुरस्कार के लिए सुश्री भोसले का चयन करने का फैसला किया। इससे पहले सुश्री भोसले, जिनकी बहन लता मंगेशकर ने 1997 में पुरस्कार जीता था, उन्होंने कहा कि उन्हें श्री ठाकरे से पता चला कि उन्हें 2020 के पुरस्कार के लिए चुना गया है। सुश्री भोसले को 2000 का दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार मिला था।
महाराष्ट्र भूषण पुरस्कार के बारे में:
- इस पुरस्कार 1996 में राज्य सरकार द्वारा राज्य के प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तियों द्वारा विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में प्रतिष्ठित कार्य और उपलब्धियों को पहचानने के लिए स्थापित किया गया था, जिसमें 10 लाख रुपये का नकद पुरस्कार और एक प्रशस्ति पत्र शामिल हैं।
- पहला महाराष्ट्र भूषण पुरस्कार मराठी लेखक पी.एल. देशपांडे को दिया गया था और इस पुरस्कार के अंतिम विजेता इतिहासकार बाबासाहेब पुरंदरे थे, जिन्हें यह पुरस्कार वर्ष 2015 में दिया गया था।
