Asia’s largest tulip garden, spread over an area of about 30 hectares, was opened in the year 2007 at the initiative of the then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad with the objective of promoting floriculture and tourism in the Kashmir Valley.
The much-talked tulip garden of Jammu and Kashmir is opening on 25 March 2021. In view of Coronavirus infection, the country was closed on lockdown last year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the people by tweeting that whenever they get a chance, they should visit Jammu and Kashmir and visit the garden. PM Modi wrote in his tweet that 25 March is special for Jammu and Kashmir. The wonderful tulip garden at the foothills of the Jabaravan mountain has opened to visitors.
The much-talked tulip garden in Jammu and Kashmir is the largest tulip garden in Asia, spread over an area of about 30 hectares. It was opened in the year 2007 on the initiative of the then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad with the objective of promoting floriculture and tourism in the Kashmir Valley.
Tulip Garden has more than 64 varieties of flowers. More than 1.5 million tulip flowers are estimated to bloom in this garden, which makes the garden scene captivating. Thermal scanning of all tourists will be done before entry into the Tulip Garden situated on the shore of Dal Lake. Sanitisers will also be made available for visitors here.

- Water ATMs and ROs are installed here for tourists to drink water.
- Polythene or plastic bags will not be allowed in the garden.
- People will not get entry into the garden without a mask.
- Tourists will not be allowed to take food and drink inside, nor will there be any food available inside the garden.

(जम्मू कश्मीर का बहुचर्चित ट्यूलिप गार्डन एशिया का सबसे बड़ा ट्यूलिप गार्डन है, जो लगभग 30 हेक्टेयर के क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है| साल 2007 में तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री गुलाम नबी आजाद की पहल पर कश्मीर घाटी में फूलों की खेती और पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से इसे खोला गया था|)
(ट्यूलिप गार्डन मे 64 से ज्यादा किस्मों के फूल हैं | इस गार्डन में 15 लाख से ज्यादा ट्यूलिप फूलों के खिलने का अनुमान है, जो गार्डन दृश्य को मनोरम बनाता है| डल झील किनारे स्थित ट्यूलिप गार्डन में एंट्री से पहले सभी पर्यटकों की थर्मल स्कैनिंग होगी| यहां आगंतुकों के लिए सैनिटाइजर भी उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा|)

- यहां पर्यटकों के पानी पीने के लिए वाटर एटीएम और आरओ लगे हैं|
- गार्डन में पॉलीथिन या प्लास्टिक बैग ले जाने की अनुमति नहीं होगी|
- लोगों को मास्क के बिना गार्डन में प्रवेश नहीं मिलेगी|
- पर्यटकों को खाने-पीने का सामान अंदर ले जाने की अनुमति नहीं होगी और न ही गार्डन के भीतर खाने की कोई चीज उपलब्ध होगी|
