Banana festival in Kushinagar to promote vocal for the local yogi government-organized banana festival.
Recently, the Uttar Pradesh government has organized a four-day ‘Banana Festival’ in Kushinagar. Which was held from 22 March to 25 March. Which saw the participation of at least 35 farmers and entrepreneurs.
The state government organized the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme to promote traditional enterprise in 2018. Earlier, Yogi Sarkar organized Strawberry Festival in Jhansi, State Jaggery Festival in Lucknow, Kalanamak Rice Festival in Siddharthnagar.
In Kushinagar, there is good banana cultivation keeping in mind the products of the district made of banana fiber have been selected in the ODOP scheme. At least 4,000 farmers are associated with banana cultivation and after joining the ODOP scheme, about 500 people are employed in its processing.
In Banana Fair, people are enjoying the fabric made of banana fiber, slippers, carpets, and items made for home decoration. Along with this, clothes and shoes, as well as banana papad, chips, and pickles prepared from food processing, are also included in this fair. Apart from this, plates are being made with organic manure and leaves from banana waste.

(कुशीनगर में केले की अच्छी खेती होती है जिसको ध्यान में रखते हुए केले के रेशे से बने जिले के उत्पादों को ODOP योजना में चुना है | कम से कम 4,000 किसान केले की खेती से जुड़े हैं और ODOP योजना में शामिल होने के बाद, इसके प्रसंस्करण में लगभग 500 लोग कार्यरत हैं|)
(बनाना मेले में केले केे रेशे से बनाए गए कपड़े, चप्पल, दरी और घर की सजावट के लिए बनाए जाने वाले सामान लोगों को बेहद पसंद आ रहे हैं| इसके साथ ही कपड़े और जूते के साथ-साथ फूड प्रोसेसिंग से तैयार केले के पापड़, चिप्स और आचार भी इस मेले में शामिल किये गए है| इसके अलावा केले के अपशिष्ट से जैविक खाद व पत्तों से प्लेट बन रही हैं|)
