BJP candidates list for West Bengal, Assam assembly elections: The Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has discussed the candidates for two phases of the Assembly elections for West Bengal and Assam.
Recently, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee was held on March 04 in view of the forthcoming assembly elections. In which discussions were held to decide the names of the candidates of Assam and West Bengal.
In Assam and West Bengal, the names of the candidates were discussed in this meeting in the first two phases of the constituencies in which the elections are to be held, but the names of the candidates have not been announced yet. According to sources, BJP may release the first list of candidates in both states on Friday.
After the meeting, BJP President in West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh said that in today’s meeting, the names of candidates were discussed in the first two phases on which the seats are to be voted. He further said that it will be announced soon after finalizing the names.
In West Bengal, polling will be completed in eight phases from March 27 to April 29, while in Assam for a total of 126 assembly seats, between March 27 and April 6 in three phases.

(असम और पश्चिम बंगाल में पहले दो चरणों में जिन विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में मतदान होने हैं, उन सीटों पर उम्मीदवारों के नामों को लेकर इस बैठक में चर्चा हुई किन्तु अभी तक उम्मीदवारों के नामों की घोषणा नहीं की | सूत्रों के मुताबिक बीजेपी शुक्रवार को दोनों राज्यों में उम्मीदवारों की पहली सूची जारी कर सकती है |)
(बैठक के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल में भाजपा के अध्यक्ष दिलीप घोष ने बताया कि आज की बैठक में पहले दो चरणों में जिन सीटों पर मतदान होने हैं, उन सीटों पर उम्मीदवारों के नामों पर चर्चा हुई है | आगे कहा कि नामों को अंतिम रूप देकर जल्द ही इसकी घोषणा होगी |)
(पश्चिम बंगाल में 27 मार्च से 29 अप्रैल के बीच आठ चरणों में जबकि असम में विधानसभा की कुल 126 सीटें पर 27 मार्च से छह अप्रैल के बीच तीन चरणों में मतदान पूर्ण होंगे |)
