India-Finland Virtual Summit 2021
Recently India-Finland Virtual Summit was organized on March 16, 2021, with the participation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland Ms. Sana Marin. The virtual summit has been organized to discuss bilateral issues as well as other regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
About the India-Finland Virtual Summit 2021:
The two leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral engagements and committed to further expand and diversify relationships in areas such as trade and investment, innovation, education, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G / 6G, and quantum computing.
The two leaders also discussed the Kovid-19 status, including their own immunization campaigns, and emphasized the importance of global efforts for immediate and affordable access to vaccines in all countries.
The leaders exchanged views on regional and global issues, including the India-EU partnership, cooperation in the Arctic region, the World Trade Organization, and the United Nations Reform. Both sides have noted the ability of India and Finland to cooperate in development-related activities in Africa.
