Labor MP Ginni Anderson presented the bill, saying that the passage of this bill shows that New Zealand is once again paving the way for compassion and progressive legislation.
Recently, the Parliament of New Zealand has unanimously approved a law under which couples who suffer miscarriage or stillbirth/stillbirth will be given three days of paid leave. With this, New Zealand has become the second country in the world to enact such a law, because such a law already exists in India.
According to this bereavement law which has been unanimously passed in the Parliament of New Zealand, if there is a miscarriage or stillbirth during pregnancy, the employees are given three days’ leave, in addition to the sick leave of the employee.
