World number 2 Rafael Nadal defeated world number 5 Stephanos Sitipas 6-4, 6-7, 7-5 to win the Barcelona Open title for the 12th time in his career.

Recently, Rafael Nadal defeated Stephanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-7, 7-5 to win his career’s 12th Barcelona Open title. This is Nadal’s 87th career title and his 61st title at Clay.

This is the second tournament where Nadal has captured 12 or more titles. Ranked No. 2 in the 13-time Roland Garros champion FedEx ATP rankings.

Nadal defeated Ilya Ivashka, Kei Nishikori, Cameron Nori and Pablo Carreno Busta Agut to reach the final, where they defeated Sitsipas to win the title. Nadal had earlier won the title by defeating Sitsipas in the final of the Barcelona Open in 2018 as well.
