The voting for the fourth phase of West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021 started today at 7 am in 44 constituencies across 5 districts including Cooch Behar, Hooghly, Howrah, Alipurduar, and South 24 Parganas.

| The Election Commission has become strict on the incident of Koch Bihar. The Commission has asked the Special Observers to postpone the polling at booth number 126 of Sitalakuchi on the basis of the interim report and ask for the report till 5 pm today. |
During the fourth phase of voting in West Bengal, there have been reports of violence in Sitalakuchi of Koch Bihar, in which four people have lost their lives. ADGP of Bengal Jagmohan said that after the attack of the villagers, there was a shootout from the Central Force soldiers, four people have been confirmed dead. But more deaths are being claimed by TMC leaders.
Talking about the incident in Koch Bihar, the ADGP of West Bengal said that a young man had come to vote, he died due to unknown reasons. Meanwhile, the CISF jawans who went on patrolling were surrounded by the villagers. After the attack of the villagers, firing was done by the CISF. In which four people lost their lives.
CISF issued a statement on the incident in Koch Bihar, saying that near booth number 126, the CISF team led by Inspector Sunil Kumar was attacked by a mob of miscreants. During the scuffle, the miscreants started damaging QRT’s vehicle and attacked QRT personnel. The QRT responded in self-defense and fired six rounds of aerial fire to dislodge the crowd.
The Election Commission, taking a strict decision on this incident, postponed voting at the polling booth where the violence took place. The commission has ordered the postponement of the booth at 126 of Sitalakuchi on the basis of an interim report from the special observers. Also, the report is sought till 5 pm today.
On the other hand, delegations of both BJP and TMC parties are preparing to go to the Commission. Expressing sorrow over the Cooch Behar incident, PM Narendra Modi while addressing a rally in Siliguri said that what happened in Koch Bihar was tragic. For which the Election Commission should take strict action.
(पश्चिम बंगाल में चौथे चरण के मतदान के दौरान कोच बिहार के सितालकुची में हिंसा की खबर आयी है जिसमे चार लोगों की जान चली गई है| बंगाल के ADGP जगमोहन ने बताया कि ग्रामीणों के हमले के बाद केंद्रीय बल के जवानों की ओर से गोली चली, चार लोगों की मारे जाने की पुष्टि हुई है| परन्तु टीएमसी नेताओं की तरफ से ज्यादा लोगों की मौत का दावा किया जा रहा हैं|)
(कोच बिहार की घटना पर बात करते हुए पश्चिम बंगाल के ADGP ने बताया कि वोट करने के लिए एक युवक आया था, अज्ञात कारणों से उसकी मौत हो गई| इसी दौरान गश्त पेट्रोलिंग पर गए सीआईएसएफ जवानों को गांववालों ने घेर लिया| गांववालों के हमले के बाद सीआईएसएफ की ओर से फायरिंग की गई| जिसमें चार लोगों की जान चली गयी|)
(कोच बिहार की घटना पर CISF ने बयान जारी करते हुए कहा गया है कि बूथ संख्या 126 के पास, इंस्पेक्टर सुनील कुमार की अगुवाई वाली CISF की टीम पर उपद्रवियों की भीड़ ने हमला कर दिया | इस दौरान हाथापाई में उपद्रवियों ने क्यूआरटी के वाहन को नुकसान पहुंचाना शुरू कर दिया और क्यूआरटी कर्मियों पर हमला करने लगे | क्यूआरटी ने आत्मरक्षा में प्रतिक्रिया दी और भीड़ को हटाने के लिए छह राउंड हवाई फायर किए|)
(इस घटना पर चुनाव आयोग सख्त फैसला लेते हुए जहां हिंसा हुई, उस पोलिंग बूथ पर वोटिंग स्थगित कर दी| आयोग ने विशेष पर्यवेक्षकों से अंतरिम रिपोर्ट के आधार पर सितालकुची के बूथ नंबर 126 में मतदान स्थगित करने का आदेश दिया है | साथ ही आज शाम 5 बजे तक रिपोर्ट मांगी है|)
(वही दूसरी तरफ बीजेपी और टीएमसी दोनों ही दलों के प्रतिनिधिमंडल आयोग जाने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं| पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी कूचबिहार की घटना पर दुख जताते हुए सिलीगुड़ी में एक रैली को सबोधित करते हुए कहा कि कोच बिहार में जो हुआ दुखद हुआ| जिसको लेकर चुनाव आयोग को सख्त एक्शन लेना चाहिए|)
