The Reserve Bank of India has recently decided to transfer a surplus of Rs 99,122 crore to the central government for the nine-month accounting period ending March 31, 2021 (July 2020-March 2021). This contingency risk buffer will remain at 5.50%.
Also this year RBI has changed its accounting year from July-June to April-March to coincide with the government’s accounting year. As a result, RBI has only 9 months in the accounting year 2020-21. But it should be noted that RBI transfers its entire surplus to the Central Government every year, which it has earned a profit.
हाल ही में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक 31 मार्च, 2021 (जुलाई 2020-मार्च 2021) को समाप्त नौ महीने की लेखा अवधि के लिए केंद्र सरकार को 99,122 करोड़ रुपये का अधिशेष हस्तांतरित करने का फैसला किया है। यह आकस्मिकता जोखिम बफर 5.50% पर रहेगा।
साथ ही इस वर्ष RBI ने सरकार के लेखा वर्ष के साथ मेल खाने के लिए अपने लेखा वर्ष को जुलाई-जून से अप्रैल-मार्च बदल दिया है। नतीजतन, RBI के लेखा वर्ष 2020-21 में केवल 9 महीने हैं। पर यह ध्यान दिया जाना चाहिए कि हर साल, RBI अपने पूरे अधिशेष को केंद्र सरकार को हस्तांतरित करता है जिसे उसने लाभ के रूप में अर्जित किया है।
