The new plant has been set up in the premises of Kumarappa National Handmade Paper Institute (KNHPI), Jaipur, a unit of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
Recently, the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways and MSME, Nitin Gadkari, has virtually inaugurated India’s first and only paint made from cow dung, under the brand name ‘Khadi Natural Paint’.
In addition, Nitin Gadkari announced himself as the “Brand Ambassador” of the paint to promote it across the country and encourage young entrepreneurs to manufacture cow dung paints.
Khadi Natural Paint Automated Manufacturing Plant has been established in the premises of Kumarappa National Handmade Paper Institute (KNHPI), Jaipur, which is a unit of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
Inaugurating the new automatic manufacturing unit of Khadi Natural Paint ‘online’ in Jaipur, he said that it will prove to be important in empowering the rural and agro-based economies in the country. The ministry said in a statement that this is the first paint manufacturing plant in the country to be made from cow dung.
