In an effort to assist citizens entering India, the MHA has notified an intensified category of “e-emergency ex-miscellaneous visas”
The Home Ministry on Tuesday announced a new category of visas for speedy decisions on applications of Afghan nationals who wish to visit India in view of the prevailing situation, two days after the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan.
A Home Ministry spokesman said, “The Ministry of Home Affairs has reviewed the visa provisions in view of the current situation in Afghanistan. A new category of ‘e-emergency and other visas’ has been created for speedy decision making on visa applications for entry into India.
Sources said that all the employees of the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan along with the ITBP personnel were safely evacuated this morning by a C17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force and they will reach India soon. The government of India is taking steps to evacuate Indians and those who wish to reach India for their safety.

(गृह मंत्रालय के एक प्रवक्ता ने कहा, ‘गृह मंत्रालय अफगानिस्तान में मौजूदा हालात को देखते हुए वीजा प्रावधानों की समीक्षा की है. भारत में प्रवेश के लिए वीजा अर्जियों पर जल्द फैसला लेने के लिए ‘ई-आपातकालीन एवं अन्य वीजा’ की नयी श्रेणी बनायी गयी है|’)
(सूत्रों ने बताया कि अफगानिस्तान में आईटीबीपी के जवानों के साथ भारतीय दूतावास के सभी कर्मचारियों को आज सुबह भारतीय वायुसेना के सी17 विमान से सुरक्षित निकाल लिया गया और वे जल्द ही भारत पहुंचेंगे| भारत सरकार भारतीयों और उनकी सुरक्षा के लिए भारत पहुंचने की इच्छा रखने वालों को निकालने के लिए बढ़े हुए कदम उठा रही है|)
