The former President was born on 5 September 1888 in Tirumani, Tamil Nadu. When Dr. Radhakrishnan became the President of India, some of his students and friends came to meet him and requested him to allow him to celebrate his birthday. Then he said that instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it will be proud for me if it is celebrated as Teacher’s Day.
