Punjab News: First Indian state to ratify tissue culture-based seed potato regulations

Punjab News: Recently, the Punjab Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has approved the ‘Punjab Tissue Culture Based Seed Potato Rule-2021’ to develop Punjab as a Standard Potato Seed Centre.

With this, Punjab has become the first Indian state to facilitate tissue culture-based certification. Which will develop the Jalandhar-Kapurthala belt of Punjab as an export centre for potatoes. Apart from this, the cabinet also approved the introduction of ‘Punjab Horticulture Nursery Bill-2021’ by amending the ‘Punjab Fruit Nursery Act-1961‘.

हाल ही मे, मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी की अध्यक्षता में पंजाब मंत्रिमंडल ने पंजाब को एक मानक आलू बीज केंद्र के रूप में विकसित करने के लिए ‘पंजाब ऊतक संस्कृति आधारित बीज आलू नियम-2021’ को मंजूरी प्रधान की है|  

इसके साथ ही पंजाब टिश्यू कल्चर-आधारित प्रमाणीकरण की सुविधा वाला पहला भारतीय राज्य बन गया है| जो पंजाब के जालंधर-कपूरथला बेल्ट को आलू के निर्यात केंद्र के रूप में विकसित करेगा| इसके अलावा, कैबिनेट ने ‘पंजाब फ्रूट नर्सरी एक्ट-1961’ में संशोधन कर ‘पंजाब हॉर्टिकल्चर नर्सरी बिल-2021’ पेश करने को भी मंजूरी दी।
