Uttarakhand government launched 'Milk Price Promotion Scheme'

Milk Price Promotion Scheme: Recently, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched the ‘Milk Price Incentive Scheme’ in Dehradun. The objective of this scheme is to provide incentives to benefit about 53,000 people of Uttarakhand.

The state government has set a target of spending Rs 444.62 crore to open 500 milk sales centres in Uttarakhand. This is a Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) scheme, under this scheme, the amount will go directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries.

Milk production and consumption in the Dehradun district is completely contradictory. While on one hand, the government is making efforts to increase milk production, all the claims of the government to promote the products are proving to be fake. Despite the government effort, milk is not available as per the demand.
