Praveen Kumar Sobti acted in about fifty films and TV shows. His last film came in the year 2013, which was named Barbaric. After that, he joined politics by joining Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Wazirpur. After some time he left Praveen Kumar and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Praveen Kumar Sobti started his film career with ‘Raksha’ in the year 1981. He was an actor as well as a discus throw athlete. He has won medals in Asian Games four times (2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal). Apart from this, India was also represented in the Olympic Games in the Mexico Games in the year 1968 and the Munich Games in the year 1972.
Praveen Kumar Sobti was awarded the Arjuna Award for his contribution to sports. Praveen Kumar got the job of Deputy Commandant in Border Security Force (BSF) because of sports.
