Asia’s Largest Bio-CNG Plant: At the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Asia’s largest Bio-CNG plant at Indore, Madhya Pradesh will be inaugurated in a virtual manner on 19 February 2022. will launch

Asia’s largest bio-natural gas CNG plant has been completed at a cost of Rs.150 crore in 15 acres of trenching ground in Indore. This plant will produce 17 to 18 tonnes of CNG gas daily. At the same time, 100 tonnes of organic manure will be produced. Which will be used for organic farming.

The Benefits:-

  • Around 300 to 400 city buses will be operated from this plant in the city.
  • From this gas plant, the government will get CNG gas at Rs 5 less than the market price. Due to this, the revenue of crores of rupees will also be saved by the government.
  • The need for organic fertilizers will also be fulfilled to the farmers.

Bio Methanation Process:

In the absence of oxygen, organic waste undergoes a decomposition process for about 25 days. This process is called the Bio Methanation process. In which micro-organisms contribute a lot and these micro-organisms complete the process of biological decomposition at a controlled temperature.

 Biogas is produced in the form of energy in this format. It is collected in the upper reaches of the digester tanks from where it is deposited by gas pipeline into very large storage balloons. The amount of methane gas in the biogas collected in these balloons is about 55-60 percent.
