Bappi Lahiri passed away: Famous singer Bappi Lahiri passed away on 15 February 2022 at the age of 69. He breathed his last at Criticare Hospital, Juhu in Mumbai.
Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, the director of the hospital, told that Bappi Lahiri was hospitalized for almost a month and he was discharged from the hospital on 14 February, but his health deteriorated again on 15 February. He had many health problems. He died late at night due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea).

Prime Minister Modi said in one of his tweets that Bappi Lahiri ji’s music was all-encompassing, his music beautifully expressed diverse emotions. His music has influenced all generations. He said that his lively nature will be remembered by all. I am saddened by his death. Condolences to his family and fans.
Life of Bappi Lahiri:-
Bappi Lahiri was born in the year 1952 in Calcutta, West Bengal in a family rich in classical music. He started his career as a music director at the young age of 19. His father, Aparesh Lahiri was a famous Bengali singer, and his mother, Bansari Lahiri was a musician and a singer who was well versed in classical music and Shyama Sangeet.
Bappi Da was known as ‘Rockstar’. Bappi da was also known for wearing gold and always wearing glasses. His real name is Alokesh Lahiri. He started playing the tabla at the age of three and gave his first music when he was 14.
