Nari Shakti Puraskar: On this occasion, a total of 29 women have been honored by the President with awards for their outstanding and exceptional work towards the empowerment of women, especially the vulnerable and marginalized, for the years 2020 and 2021.

 

Nari Shakti Puraskar 2021 and 2022: The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind presented the ‘Nari Shakti Puraskar for the years 2020 and 2021′ at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on March 08, 2022, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Puraskar)’

A total of 29 women have been honored on the occasion by the President for their outstanding and exceptional work towards the empowerment of women, especially the vulnerable and marginalized, for the years 2020 and 2021. There were a total of 28 awards which included 14-14 awards for the years 2020 and 2021. The award ceremony for the year 2020 could not be held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nari Shakti Puraskar:

Nari Shakti Puraskars are given under the initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development in recognition of the remarkable contribution made by individuals and institutions. This award was started in the year 1999. It is the highest civilian award in honor of women in India. Nari Shakti Puraskars are presented by the President of India every year on International Women’s Day (March 8).
