Player of the month: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced India’s star all-format batsman Shreyas Iyer and White Ferns all-rounder Amelia Kerr as the ICC Players of the Month for February 2022.
In men’s category:
Shreyas Iyer has received the ICC Player of the Month award for his stellar performances during the home series against West Indies and Sri Lanka respectively last month. Shreyas Iyer did well in the T20 series against Sri Lanka and was named Player of the Series.

In women’s category:
New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr won the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for February 2022. New Zealand’s 21-year-old all-rounder Amelia Kerr had a good run with both bat and ball during the home white-ball series against India. Kerr has been selected for the award ahead of fellow nominee Indian captain Mithali Raj and all-rounder Deepti Sharma.
21-year-old Amelia scored 353 runs in the series with the help of a century and a half-century. During this, his average was 117. He was also impressed with his leg-spin bowling and took seven wickets in the series.
