World Malaria Day: World Malaria Day is celebrated every year on 25 April to spread awareness among people about the mosquito-borne disease. Thousands of people in India also fall prey to mosquito-borne diseases every year, one of which is malaria.
Malaria is a deadly disease, which is spread through the bite of infected mosquitoes. Female Anopheles mosquitoes spread the Plasmodium parasite through their saliva, which causes malaria. But at present both prevention and treatment of this disease are possible.
