India doesn’t change much in the team with the selection
Aakash Chopra, a former opener, believes that India wasted the opportunity to have wicket-taking spinners on their T20 World Cup roster.
The 15-man team for the major ICC tournament was unveiled by the All India Selection Committee on Monday, and they chose three spinners: Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel.
There were just a few changes from the fifteen players that competed in the recently finished Asia Cup 2022, therefore there weren’t many unexpected selections in the team.
The team’s fast bowling line-up will be strengthened by the addition of JaspritBumrah and Harshal Patel, who were both forced to withdraw from the multi-nation competition in the UAE owing to injury.
Rahul Dravid and Chetan Sharma are the core of the selection
The players to be picked spark debate among cricket gurus around the nation. Likewise, fans. The head coach and national selectors will not lack ideas on how to approach the task of finalizing names. Chetan Sharma, the chairman of the selectors, and Rahul Dravid, the team coach, have been given the responsibility and are at risk if the candidates are unsuccessful.
