Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated IDF WDS which is International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit 2022. Also, PM did an inspection tour at India Expo Center & Mart which is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
IDF WDS 2022, is a four-day long function that is held from September 12 to September 15, and the organization are being down at India Expo Center & Mart which too comes in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
As per details, approximately 1500 participants from 50 different countries are supposed to participate in IDF WDS 2022. This kind of summit is being held in India after so long. According to PMO (Prime Minister’s Office), such kind of summit in India was last held in 1974.
PMO gave the statement that “ The Indian dairy industry is so unique in a particular sense that it is based upon a cooperative model that empowers marginal and small dairy farmers and especially women.
Through the vision of PM, the government has taken many steps for the improvement of the dairy sector resulting in an increased amount of milk production by more than 44% in the last 8 years.”
PMO also said, “ The success story of the Indian dairy industry, accounting for about 23% of global milk, production of around 210 million tons annually, and mainly empowering more than 8 crore dairy farmers, will get showcased at the IDF WDS 2022”.
