Preparations have already begun for creating new records as a mark of remembrance of 26th December Veer Bal Diwas this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi observed the Veer Bal Diwas to commemorate the martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji last year.
New Delhi: Veer Bal Diwas…to remember the young martyrs called, “Sahibzadas”. Last year India’s PM Narendra Modi declared that the brave sons of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji’ and ‘Baba Fateh Over one thousand children walked together along the Path of Duty last. year. Now the way is made for the celebrations of this day to begin. This time around, the Central government will observe Sahibzada Sahiba Diwas on a grand scale observing the feedback obtained from the celebrations held previously.
History Of Brave Children’s Day
The four sons of the tenth Sikh guru, namely, Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh, and Sahibzada Fateh Singh.
The Mughal army attacked Guruji and his army troops. The war had its beginning in Anandpur Sahib Fort. After a prolonged fight on the bank of the Sarsa River, the family broke up. The Nawabs later asked them to become Muslims, which the Sahibzadas declined and again professed their faith in Sikhism. The courageous nature displayed by the boys angered the Mughal Emperor who had him buried alive between the wall.
This led to the supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, which is now immortalized in history books.
Importance Of Brave Children’s Day
The festival of the “Veer Bal Diwas” is held to remember the four sons, the “Sahibzads”, of the last Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh.f The selection of this day is meant to commemorate the youngest Sahibzade’s sacrifice. They were all killed though but it is considered as the observance of the martyrdom anniversary of Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh when they died on December 26 as six and nine old boys.
