Each year India celebrates National Consumer Rights Day on December 24th. It is an occasion that focuses on protection against the violation of commercial transaction participants’ rights. These consumer rights have been known in Western countries for a very long time; however, currently, India takes all efforts necessary to make those widely known and respected. As more people go online to buy goods and services there is a need for them to understand their rights and act accordingly.
History of National Consumer Rights Day

The president approved the new set of rules on 9th August 2019. Then the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution declared that this process must be observed from July 20, 2020. with other people and organizations.
