1. National Law University (NLU), Delhi

One of them is National Law University, New Delhi which occupies the position of the second best in India and includes more than two dozen legal research centres. Such domains include Business and financial law, communication governance, comparative law, corporate law and governance, constitutional law, policy and governance, criminology and victimology.

Some of the programs that NLU admits are 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons), LLM, PhD, PG diplomas, and Scholarship Programs. In addition to these various specialized programs is another one referred to as PG Diploma that is, PG DIPLOMA in environmental law and policy, PG Diploma in tourism and environmental law, or PG Diploma in urban environmental management and law.

Admission: –

A prospective student needs to pass the ALLET entrance test to be considered in the admission process for the BA LLB course, while other programs require certain prerequisites. It is worth noting that admission into NLU Delhi does not depend upon one’s CLAT performance.

2. Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), Delhi

JMI admits students in a five-year program of integrated BA LLB Honors, a two-year postgraduate LLM program, and specialized programs such as personal law, corporate law, and criminal Law.

Admission:-

An aptitude test for JMI’s Law Department in connection with a BA LLB course is conducted; however, CLAT does not suffice in this regard. The same procedures apply in the case of PG courses for LLM too, but with different entry requirements.

3. Indian Law Institute (ILI), Delhi

In 2004, ILI Delhi became a deemed University, as it was placed in the 3rd spot in India’s rankings of the best universities. In the course of writing this, I must emphasize that this law school has got to feature one of the prestigious law libraries in the country with more than 75000 pieces of the book and esteemed journal of the institute (JILI).

ILI invites applications for its 1 year LLM program, 1 year Postgraduate diploma program, and online certificate programs. PG Diploma courses include, among others, options like Alternative Dispute Resolution, Corporate Law and Management, Cyber Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law, and Labor Law. Also, a five-year doctorate is provided.

Admission:-

The aspirating candidates should also fill in the online forms, register for ILICAT which is the institute entrance test for them, and follow certain requirements to be eligible. Surprisingly, graduates from law, CA, CS, and CMA can also sit for this exam.
