The first Girls’ Military School in India Opened at Vrindavan.
For the first time in defense education, a new military school for girls was opened. It’s called Sanvid Gurukulam Balika Sainik School and is located in Vrindavan, Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh state. It was inaugurated by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
- This big change is part of a bigger effort to start 100 new army schools with help from groups, private companies, and state school systems all around the country.
- Out of these, 42 schools have already made it. They add to the 33 Sainik Schools that were working before in a different way.
- Sainik Schools, places that prepare future officers for the defense services in our country, are homes where students live. They’re run by the Sainik School Society under Ministry of Defense supervision.
- Running in the English language and using the CBSE system, these schools are very important for growing skills needed to lead in defense jobs.

Cricket star David Warner says goodbye to ODI cricket.
David Warner, an Australian cricket player who made a great name for himself in the game has now said he will stop playing One Day International (ODI) matches. This choice came after he decided to stop playing Test cricket before, which means the end of a time for this famous player.
- In January 2009, Warner first played in ODI games against South Africa. Later on, he became very important for Australia’s wins at the World Cup competitions of 2015 and 23 years later too.
- His good ODI career runs 161 matches, with a special batting score of 6932 at an average count of 45.30.
- As the sixth-best scorer in Australian ODI history, Warner has many achievements including 22 centuries and 33 half-centuries.
- Warner is now one of Australia’s best cricketers because he follows players like Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Mark Waugh, and others. This happens in both the Test and ODI cricket formats after they retire. Current Affairs News
