All Details About POCO X6 Neo 5G
Poco introduced the Neo phone, which offers some amazing features for its cost in the X6 family. The company claims that this is the thinnest Poco smartphone ever. The phone’s display was, at least, the most intriguing element that attracted our attention.A phone that costs less than Rs. 20,000 won’t have a bezel this thin and uniform throughout.. Having used the Poco X6 Neo 5G for a few days, this is our initial impression of the device.
To begin with, the Poco X6 Neo’s front is superior than its back in terms of design.Because Poco was able to uniformly lower the bezels on both sides, there isn’t a thick chin here. The remarkable screen-to-body ratio of 93.30 percent is being advertised by the firm. While the top and bottom bezels measure 2 mm and 2.5 mm, respectively, the left and right bezels are only 1.5 mm thin.
Full-HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate are features of the display. It’s a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. A hole-punch cutout at the top is intended to hold the selfie camera. This is a great panel for gaming and content consumption. We’ll be analyzing the display in-depth in our detailed review.
Flipping it over reveals a plastic rear panel with a marble-like surface that varies in color depending on the light that strikes it. We are using the Poco X6 Neo Martian Orange version, and it seems like the pattern on the back panel is meant to mimic the Martian surface (which it doesn’t).
One of the two cameras in the arrangement has a 108-megapixel main sensor. I did test the camera, and it seems to capture decent images during the day. Make sure to check out our in-depth review, where we will be testing the cameras again. Above the cameras is a rectangular module that seems like it belongs on other Poco phones from the X6 series.. Despite its size, the handset is comfortable to grip thanks to its smooth edges and minimal taper. It also seems like plastic was used to make the frame.
The smartphone has dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C connector at the bottom, IR blaster at the top, and 5G dual SIM support. It also obtains an IP54 rating for resistance to dust and water. The phone’s right side houses the power and volume keys, the latter of which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. My fingerprint was promptly registered and the scanner functioned well. The X6 Neo from Poco just has one speaker, but it does have a 3.5mm headphone port on top.
A MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage powers the Poco X6 Neo’s components. We have only been using the phone for a few days, but overall it has been fast with the occasional latency. We’ll need to use the phone more and run some benchmarks and games to see how well it performs in everyday tasks. Will the temperature rise if you play more games? To discover out, you’ll have to wait for the complete review.
The Poco X6 Neo’s software is pre-installed with MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13.The company offers two years of Android updates and four years of security patches. The Neo’s Android 13 operating system is annoying, as most phones—including the other Poco X6 series phones—run Android 14. There is a ton of bloatware on the phone as well, but we will either discuss it in-depth or ignore it throughout the review.
The 5,000mAh battery that powers the Poco X6 Neo can be swiftly charged to 33W. It’s wonderful that the charger is included in the package as well. With a starting price of The phone’s most noteworthy features are its 108-megapixel rear camera and display, which retail for Rs. 15,999.How well will the phone function in contrast to its competitors? The complete review, which should be released soon, will tell us.
