INS Imphal joins the Navy

Furthermore, in a significant step to strengthen the capabilities of the Indian Navy as China gradually makes its presence felt in the western Indian Ocean, INS Imphal was commissioned at Mumbai Dockyard on 26 December.

State-of-the-Art Features of Indian Naval Ship Imphal

  • INS Imphal, built by MDL (an under-pro of Mazagon Dockship Builders Limited) in Mumbai, is a formidable destroyer armed with 8 surface-to-surface missiles and 16 BrahMos anti-missiles; Ship M SS ILS. It also has surveillance radar and rap

Madhya Pradesh: ‘Tabla Day’ declared

Turning towards cultural achievements, Madhya Pradesh celebrated ‘Tabla Diwas’ on 25th December. When one thousand five hundred tabla players gathered at Gwalior Fort, a world record was created. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia participated in this program. CM Yadav said that from now on, the annual ‘Tabla Day’ will be organized in the state.

This great event coincided with Gwalior’s ‘Tansen Samaroh’, a musical festival that lasted till 28 December. ‘Tabla Darbar’ added to the beauty of the fort, in which tabla players from 50 cities participated extensively in this rhythm-drenched festival. A huge stage spread over approximately eighteen and a half thousand square feet.
