Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has issued a notification for conducting the test BSTET-2024 for teacher recruitment in the state of Bihar. The candidates need to log on to the homepage of Bihar STET at www.bsebstet.com and fill out the respective application form there.

Minimum educational qualifications for appearing in the exam.

To sit for paper one of the STET-2024, one needs to have either a Bachelor’s or a DEd in the area. However, for one to be included in paper two of an examination, one must possess a master’s degree and a BEd in a similar subject at the same time. In addition to that, those who have passed DElEd are also eligible to take this examination.

Exam Pattern:-

STET Paper 1:-

• The examination will comprise MCQ-type questions.
• There will be a total of 150 marks for the paper, with each question being worth one mark.
• It is assumed that it will take two hours and thirty minutes to address the issues raised in the question paper.
• The questions would not carry negative marks for the wrong answers.
• Subjects such as Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, Mathematics Sciences, and Social Studies will have assessment tests.

STET Paper 2:-

• The paper shall comprise 150 questions and give 1 mark to each right answer accordingly.
• Overall marks will amount to one hundred fifty. The paper will not have negatively marked wrong answers.
• This is a take-home exam and you will be allocated two hours and thirty minutes for that purpose.
• These include subjects like English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and Computer Science.
• Application Fee:
• For example, if a General, OBC, or EWS candidate applies for either STET Paper 1 or Paper 2 examination, he or she has to pay the fee of Rs 960. However, if you applied for double papers it would cost Rs 1140.

For this reason, SC/ST candidates who apply for paper 1 or paper 2 alone are required to pay a fee of Rs. 766. If however, you consider applying for both papers, it will cost you Rs 1140 only.
